The 74126 Buffer high speed CMOS QUAD BUS BUFFER (3-STATE) FABRICATED IN SILICON GATE C2MOS technology.They have the same high speed performance of LSTTL combined with true CMOS low power con-sumption.These devices require the same 3-STATE control input G to be taken high to make the output go into the high impedance state.All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage.This device contains four independent gates each of whichperforms a non-inverting buffer function. The outputs havethe 3-STATE feature. When enabled, the outputs exhibitthe low impedance characteristics of a standard LS outputwith additional drive capability to permit the driving of buslines without external resistors. When disabled, both theoutput transistors are turned OFF presenting a high-impedancestate to the bus line. Thus the output will act neitheras a significant load nor as a driver.
