This is a 4 pin push switch. By giving VCC to only one pin, you can get output in two pins by pressing the switch once. Commonly these are used as reset switches in projects.
Note that the 2 connectors on the same side of the underneath recessed channel are part of the same side of the switch. Thus, it is not necessary to use diagonally opposite tabs to use the switch in a circuit. It is sufficient to wire one tab each from different sides of the recessed channel on the lower part of the component.
The long stems are ideal, even required, for mounting thru holes in project boxes (e.g.). You will probably have to mount them on a circuit board as they don’t have mounting hardware, such as a hex nut. Straighten tabs, mount, bend tabs, wire, and then solder all tabs, even those not used electrically. This will ensure firm circuit board mounting.
