Arduino NANO Version 3 is the open source smallest Embedded Development board launched by Arduino based on Atmega328 SMD Package Microcontroller. It is a Surface mount Breadboard Friendly board integrated with Mini USB Port. DC Power Jack is not available on this Board, so power can be given through Mini USB Cable. It automatically sense and switch to the higher potential source of power, there is no need for the power select jumper.Flash Memory 32 KB EEPROM 1 KB Clock Speed 16 MHz.Arduino Nano is a small, complete, and breadboard-friendly board.
The Nano 3.0 has a number of facilities for communicating with a computer, another Arduino, or other microcontrollers. The ATmega328 provides UART TTL (5V) serial communication, which is available on digital pins 0 (RX) and 1 (TX).
A CH340G chip (replaces FTDI FT232RL) on the board channels this serial communication over USB and the CH40G drivers (included with the Arduino software) provide a virtual com port to software on the computer. The Arduino software includes a serial monitor which allows simple textual data to be sent to and from the Arduino board. The RXand TX LEDs on the board will flash when data is being transmitted via the CH340G chip and USB connection to the computer (but not for serial communication on pins 0 and 1).
